SPARSH AND DELHI NATURE SOCIETY START A TREE PLANTATION DRIVE

New Delhi Nature Society along with Sparsh came together and took part in a special initiative to plant trees on 20th August 2015. Mr. Verhaen Khanna of New Delhi Nature Society participated in the event and planted native trees in the area around Rohini Sec-5.
Mrs. Raj Rani Gupta, Patron of Sparsh NGO was the Chief Guest of the event. The highlight of the event were our special children from Sparsh, underprivileged students, class VI students from Presidium Ashok Vihar, and Senior Citizen who participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
Some of the native trees planted were Jamun, Amaltas, and Bal Patras, as they require less maintenance and have an ability to easily adapt to the surroundings as compared to exotic and ornamental tree varieties.
