FORTIS EQUIPS SPARSH FURTHER TO TEACH CHILDREN WITH AUTISM

2017-04-29

When the team of Fortis expressed dire interest in conducting a workshop on "Sensory Play" for the teachers of Sparsh, we were more than delighted to say 'yes'. Their team successfully facilitated exploration and naturally encouraged the special children with autism to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore.

Developed by the Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, the Fortis National Mental Health Program was introduced under the aegis of Director, Dr. Samir Parikh. The resource person for the workshop, Ms. Avantika Aggarwal is an expert special educator, who specializes in the different techniques of play that can be used to teach autistic children. Learning about several effective activities that stimulate autistic children's senses was an incredible experience for our teachers.

Sparsh heartily thanks team Fortis for helping us in creating better teaching aspects for our lovable special children!
